VIC: Ford to sponsor AFL preseason cup
Ford has reportedly bought the naming rights to the AFL's pre-season cup competition.
The future of the competition was in doubt after the collapse of it principal sponsor,
Ansett, last September.
But the Age newspaper reports AFL chief executive WAYNE JACKSON was confident of finding
a successor.
Although it's believed the Ford agreement is vastly different from the Ansett contract,
which was due to expire in 2005.
